Okies, I am seriously starting to struggle to find words that adequately express how much I love the Spooky Box Club. Even when the box as a whole has not been a favourite of mine, such as the Voodoo box, the fact that there are always one or two items that I absolutely adore means I have yet to refer to any Spooky Box as a ‘dud’. I just cannot do it. As each month, we subscribers (and single-purchasers) are treated to unique and exclusive handcrafted goodies not available anywhere else. Thus, based on the unique and exclusive nature of the products within each Spooky Box alone, what is there not to love about the Spooky Box Club?! But I digress. I will now move onto discussing the ‘good bits’, aka the box itself and the Blood Moon themed contents.
The Spooky Box Club is a UK based subscription service providing their customers with an exclusive range of ‘alternative lifestyle goods with an emphasis on cute, witchy, gothic, interests and styles.’
As each box contains 8+ items made by various manufacturers, it can take 8 to 12 weeks from your initial payment until you receive your first box. After this initial delay, the boxes generally arrive consecutively each month. However, sometimes boxes can take a little longer to dispatch and receive. This delay is for the same reason given above re your initial payment. Due to the aforementioned box time periods, the Spooky Box Club do not offer specific dispatch dates for their boxes. Instead a countdown timer is offered on their website which gives an estimated shipping date.
Currently, the Spooky Box Club operates a ‘subscription’ and a pre-order service. The purpose of the pre-order service is to allow customers the option to ‘skip’ a box where the theme does not take their fancy. Consequently, this removes the hassle of rotating between subscribing and unsubscribing to avoid receipt of certain boxes. For me, I just keep the subscription rolling on, as there is usually something I love.
The monthly cost of the box is £21 plus £3.98 UK delivery. International delivery is charged at £14.50. Boxes can be purchased/Subscribed to here. In addition, the company donate a percentage of each box sold to charity.

The Box Itself:
Spooky Boxes have a different theme each month, for example the theme that followed the Blood Moon Box was the Urban Gothic box.
The Blood Moon box contained: an Alter Cloth; Bracelet Charm; Gothic Window Pendant; Blood Moon tea; Loner Banner Pin; Art Print; Lap Top decal; Blood Drip Choker and a Lollipop.
All of the above items were custom made for the Blood Moon box.
Absolutely stunning. It is made from what feels like high quality material and as such, I have a feeling that this cloth will be able to withstand the elements (or at the very least, the washing machine).
Loner Banner Pin:
I bloody love this pin! I am unashamed to admit that I have always been a bit of a loner. Thus, this pin is perfect for me. The pin is so up my street.
Blood Drip Choker:
How cool is this choker?! Seriously, it is so cool and fit so snugly around the neck.
Lap Top Decal:
Just. Too. Cool. I had to put it on my laptop straightaway.
Gothic Window Pendant:
This necklace is surprisingly heavy. Although it is not something I would wear, I appreciate the very visible and detailed craftsmanship that has gone into it.
Bracelet Charm and Blood Moon tea:
The blood droplet charm (as pictured on top of the tea tin) perfectly matches the Blood Moon box theme. It is adorable and will be attached to the charm bracelet I received in the Voodoo box.
Overall, from the box’s theme to its contents, the Blood Moon box was a winner in my opinion. Whilst, I will end up gifting some of the contents in upcoming giveaways on my Instagram account, I very much appreciate the time and effort that the Spooky Box Club put into the Blood Moon box. As such, I highly recommend this box as good value for money.
Due to the fact that all items are custom made for Spooky Box Club boxes, monetary values are difficult to decipher. However, based on the exclusive, high quality and handcrafted nature of the products given, I highly recommend the Spooky Box Club as providers of excellent value for money. This confident assertion is despite the fact that I am aware that estimating the value of Spooky Box Club boxes is purely subjective.
The Spooky Box Club is perfect for fans of the alternative/gothic scenes, as well as those who enjoy filling their home with non-generic handmade goodies.
As I have suggested in previous posts, there can be a long wait between making your initial payment and receiving your first box. So, if you like to know precise shipping dates and seek a speedy dispatch after purchase, the Spooky Box Club may not be for you. I personally do not mind waiting for my box, as the items inside are so unique and well-crafted that I find the box is worth waiting for.
